Real Weekly Plan screen from Minthee
1. Navigating the Week
- Tap the Weekly Plan tab in the bottom navigation bar.
- The top header shows the current week range (e.g., Aug 31 – Sep 6).
- Use the < and > arrows to view past weeks or plan upcoming weeks ahead of time.
- Tap the calendar badge to quickly jump back to Today.
2. Planning Dishes for a Day
Each day card has slots for meal planning:
- Tap + Add Meal on any day.
- Select an existing dish from your library. You can filter by category (Dinner, Quick, Vegetarian) or search by keyword.
- Once selected, the meal is scheduled for that day.
You can plan multiple meals per day (e.g. Lunch and Dinner) or move a meal to another day by dragging or tapping the menu options.
3. Special Events (Dining Out, Leftovers, Guests)
Not every night involves cooking a brand new recipe! Minthee lets you log special events so your grocery list and recommendations stay realistic:
- Dining Out: Going to a restaurant or ordering takeaway.
- Leftovers Night: Reheating previous meals, keeping your fridge clean.
- Dinner Guests / Family Event: Highlighting special occasions.
- Custom Notes: Add notes like “Pizza night with friends” or “Fast & light meal”.
When a day is marked as Dining Out or Leftovers, Minthee knows not to expect cooking logs or grocery ingredients for that slot.
4. Plan Week
Don’t have time to manually pick dishes for every day? Tap the Plan Week button at the top:
- Minthee inspects your available days that don’t already have meals or events scheduled.
- It uses the recommendation engine to pick high-scoring, ready-to-cook dishes that balance variety across categories.
- Review the proposed plan, swap any dishes you’re not in the mood for, and confirm.
5. Marking Meals as Cooked
When the day arrives and dinner is served:
- Tap the checkmark on the day card to mark the planned meal as Cooked.
- This automatically logs the cook time in your history and restarts the repeat frequency interval.
